Training Qualifications UK is delighted to announce that an agreement with Hong Kong based dance and performing arts academy iDance has been reached with an impressive signing ceremony held last week.
TQUK Managing Director Andrew Walker was in attendance along with James Gallagher, Deputy Director of Trade and Investment from the British Consulate General Hong Kong which sees TQUK partner the dance centre in providing unified international standards and frameworks for dancing.
Training Qualifications UK will be ensuring that the training provided at the school is of the highest standard, ensuring learners acquire all the key knowledge required to be successful.
Mr Gallagher said: “As the largest dance school in Hong Kong, and widely acclaimed as one of the best in East Asia, iDance will benefit from TQUK’s award-winning services.”
“Seeing these partnerships emerge and thrive is what drives me to support excellent UK organisations and institutions, such as TQUK, in Hong Kong.”
Bernard Chan, current Deputy Secretary of Commerce and Economic Development, HKSAR Gov was also in attendance and following the ceremony said:
“Hong Kong is not just a business city, we are also becoming an arts and cultural hub of international stature. Congratulations to Grace (Chairwoman) and iDance on collaborating with TQUK, on one hand enhancing our performing arts education, and on the other hand helping our talent become successful and confident young people.”
iDance was founded in 2008 by branding management expert Ms Grace Tse and famous entertainer Mr. So Boss. The academy has over 30,000 members across four Hong Kong branches located in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kwun Tong, Quarry Bay and Mei Foo.
Founder and chairwoman Ms Tse, designed the academy upon the foundations of creating a better, healthier society for individuals, families and social groups. After acknowledging the people of Hong Kong were living with the constant stresses of modern life without any relief, Ms Tse built iDance in the hope of cultivating talents for the dance performing arts industry, and letting the public understand that dance is not just a sport for slimming and weight loss, but also an art culture that helps in both physicality and spirituality.
iDance courses, which range from Zumba to Contemporary Dance to Cardio Hip Hop aim to let you acquire happiness whilst also strengthening fitness performance.
