Our Good Causes
Training Qualifications UK is always looking to be involved in the community. Here you can find a range of good causes that we wholeheartedly support. From helping to raise money for and sponsoring Salford-based charity Hand on Heart and their annual UK Heartsafe Awards, to helping keep the bees buzzing up and down the country via the British Beekeepers Association, these causes are an essential part of the TQUK family.
Find out more about each cause below and follow the links through to their websites for further information.
The only national alliance for dementia care and research organisations across England to connect, share best practice and take action on dementia.
Dementia Action Alliance
Training Qualifications UK is proud to be the first Awarding Organisation to join forces with the Dementia Action Alliance. The Alliance brings together organisations across England who are committed to transforming the lives of people with dementia and their carers.
It is the aim of the DAA to bring about a society-wide response to dementia which has begun at a national level with the DAA beginning to shape policy and attitudes. In the meantime, on a local scale the DAA is coordinating efforts via local dementia action alliances.
British Beekeepers Association
Founded in 1874, The British Beekeepers Association (BBKA) originally brought together 26 beekeeping associations to represent their interests and facilitate an educational structure, supported by an exam process, for beekeeping.
Now, it’s a national charity that represents over 75 beekeeping associations across the UK. The main goal is to promote the craft of beekeeping and educate the public on the importance of honey bees in the environment.
Training Qualifications UK, being from Manchester, is incredibly proud of the bee and the great work that the BBKA does to help bees throughout the year. The BBKA ‘Adopt a Beehive’ scheme is a simple, yet fantastic way to help. All of the profits go to supporting environmental and educational projects dedicated to improving honey bee health and sustainability in Britain.
