Unemployed
Opening up opportunities for out of work people to achieve success, enhance their skills and knowledge, and find a career they love.
Did you know that there were 800,000 young people (aged 16 to 24 years) in the UK who were not in education, employment or training (NEET) during the period of July to September 2019?
Level 1 qualifications could hold the key for many in this situation, providing them with the foundation to success and a springboard for their careers. We work seamlessly with Training Providers and FE Colleges to deliver these qualifications and maximise outcomes, for both our Centres and their learners.
What is 16-19 funding?
Colleges, Training Providers, Schools and Academies receive annual funding allocations from the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) for the provision of 16 to 19 education.
In addition, the funding also assists special schools, special academies, independent learning providers (ILPs), local authorities (LEA’s), special post-16 institutions (SPIs) and some higher education institutions (HEIs). The funding can be used towards helping:
- Students aged 16-19
- Students up to the age of 25 when they have an education, health and care (EHC) plan
- 14-16 year-olds who are directly enrolled into eligible FE institutions
- Home educated students of compulsory school age at any FE college
In order to use the funding, Training Providers, FE Colleges and Prisons will need to engage with an Awarding Organisation. It just so happens that’s exactly what we are, and we like to do things a little differently.
